With over 800 employees across 20 communities, we support IT infrastructure in 433 healthcare locations, ensuring seamless information-sharing and timely, effective patient care. Our partners include the Saskatchewan Health Authority, Saskatchewan Cancer Agency, and various private healthcare providers. We also manage Vital Statistics, health card services, and MySaskHealthRecord, one of Canada’s leading tools for giving people secure online access to their health information.
About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Digital Services & Chief Information Officer, we are seeking a visionary, values-driven, and strategic leader to join our senior leadership team as Executive Director, Infrastructure and Core Operations . This is more than a leadership role—it’s a chance to shape the future of digital health across the province.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving the evolution of IT infrastructure and operational services that support the entire provincial health system. Your leadership will directly contribute to the Government of Saskatchewan’s Growth Plan and deliver tangible benefits to citizens across the province. This role calls for you to:
- Chart the course for innovation by developing multi-year technology plans, service mandates, and delivering essential core services.
- Lead with purpose, guiding strategic planning, goal setting, risk management, and resource allocation to ensure services align with the organization’s broader vision.
- Collaborate at the highest levels, contributing to the Senior Leadership Team and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders to set priorities and drive operational excellence.
- Represent Saskatchewan proudly, serving as a provincial subject matter expert on ministry and health sector committees and initiatives.
- Stay ahead of the curve, identifying emerging technology trends and partnering with architecture teams to design client solutions that reflect eHealth’s strategic goals and commitment to service excellence.

The ideal candidate will be a resilient leader who demonstrates:
- Progressive experience in linking strategy and operations, IT polices, framework and practices;
- Superior communication, problem-solving, accountability, systems management skills, and a solid track record in initiating and supporting collaborative work and innovation solutions;
- Knowledge of public sector budgeting, forecasting, accountability, and decision-making processes;
- Understanding how to advance the strategic and corporate work of the organization and the goals of government overall;
- Change agent with a proven track record in leading dynamic and diverse teams through provincial wide changes and times of uncertainty;
- Ability to navigate and build strong relationships in a large, complex multi-enterprise environment;
- Extensive senior management experience that enables you to lead, direct and manage a team of professionals;
- Ability to think critically and view issues and challenges from multiple perspectives; and
- Reputation for integrity and a focus on service excellence.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Degree/diploma in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or another related equivalent
- Adequate combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Experience within Government and the Health Care Sector would be considered an asset.
