BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY – FUEL TRUCK BROKER
THE COMPANY
Do you want to be an Independent Broker with a market leader in the home heat, diesel and commercial oil distribution industry in the Greater St John’s area? Through the company’s partnership with Petro-Canada., Harvey’s Oil Ltd., has experienced significant growth in its industrial lubricant, light and base oil division while maintaining its customer service focus in home heat.
As your own business operator, the potential income growth is strong. The successful broker will be afforded training in company systems. An acceptable Driver’s Abstract and a valid license is required, and must be maintained, for this brokerage opportunity. For the right individual the opportunity exists to own and manage more than one route and delivery truck.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for driving a Fuel Truck to deliver Petroleum Products to both our Commercial or Residential customer’s storage tanks and mobile equipment
• Monitor and maintain record of meter counts for delivery trucks and assist to fill all fuel tanks
• Complete daily log book
• Respond to customer concerns and inquiries and ensure effective resolution within required timeframe
• Ensure and maintain safe working environment according to safety policies and procedures
• Monitor work and ensure usage of all personal protective equipment while working
• Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
• Must provide driver’s abstract
• Class 3 (Endorsement 9) but ideally, Class 1 license with air brake endorsement required
• Must possess excellent customer service skills, with the ability to ask probing questions and understand and resolve customer concerns
• Must be computer literate
