Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Java/UI Full-Stack Tech Lead to lead the design and development of enterprise-grade applications. This role requires strong hands-on experience with backend and frontend technologies and the ability to lead a geographically distributed team. You will work closely with architects, product owners, and global development teams to deliver scalable and cloud-ready solutions in an Agile environment.
Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Java/UI Full-Stack Tech Lead to lead the design and development of enterprise-grade applications. This role requires strong hands-on experience with backend and frontend technologies and the ability to lead a geographically distributed team. You will work closely with architects, product owners, and global development teams to deliver scalable and cloud-ready solutions in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design and development of full-stack solutions using Java and Angular.
- Work closely with the Squad Lead, Product Owner, and Business Analysts during EST hours.
- Assign tasks, track progress, and review deliverables from team members in Montreal and offshore teams.
- Review and approve code changes to ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
- Manage build and deployment processes in lower environments.
- Support production releases and participate in post-deployment testing and monitoring.
- Collaborate with global support teams to resolve production issues.
- Coordinate with adjacent application and infrastructure teams to ensure end-to-end integration.
Required Qualifications
- 7–12 years of industry experience in full-stack application development.
- Strong proficiency in Java and backend frameworks like Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
- Proven experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
- Expertise in UI frameworks such as Angular (or React).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with messaging platforms such as Kafka and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
- Strong understanding of design patterns, multithreading, and scalable architecture.
- Familiarity with TDD/BDD development practices and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with distributed teams.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in Python for scripting or service development.
- Financial services or banking industry experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline tools.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $34.67/hour – $54.18/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits.
