Job Description
As a Head of E&C, your main responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive compliance programmes tailored to industry regulations.
- Ensuring adherence to legal and ethical standards across all business operations.
- Providing guidance and training to employees on compliance and ethical practices.
- Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of compliance initiatives.
- Managing investigations into compliance-related issues and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to align compliance goals with business objectives.
- Overseeing the development of internal policies to mitigate risks within the FMCG industry.
- Staying updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the business.
- Develop, oversee, and continuously improve the organization’s ethics and compliance policies and procedures.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure company policies remain current and compliant.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential compliance vulnerabilities and implement corrective measures.
- Lead investigations into ethical or compliance violations and recommend appropriate remedial actions.
- Collaborate with legal, HR, manufacturing, commercial and other departments to ensure compliance across all operational areas.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management and the Board on compliance issues, risks, and corrective actions.
- Maintain records of compliance activities, investigations, and corrective actions for audit purposes
The Successful Applicant
A successful Head of Ethics and Compliance should have:
- At least 15+ years of working experience in similar role, and ideally in a highly-regulated organization.
- Bachelor degree from reputable degree.
- Extensive knowledge of compliance frameworks and their application within the FMCG sector.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a compliance function effectively.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience developing and implementing company-wide policies.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical thinking
- Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze complex situations and develop practical solutions.
- High integrity and commitment to ethical principles.
