Job Description
- Develop and execute the company’s comprehensive operational strategy for Indonesia, aligning with global objectives and local market nuances.
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities within Indonesia, including city expansion and target demographics.
- Lead the establishment of new operational hubs and partnerships across various regions in Indonesia.
- Continuously assess market trends and regulatory changes to inform strategic decisions.
- Oversee the end-to-end operational lifecycle of property projects in Indonesia, from property acquisition and development to sales and customer handover.
- Implement and optimize operational processes to ensure efficiency, scalability, and adherence to the company’s technology-driven model.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for all operational aspects, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Manage operational budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation to achieve financial targets.
- Build, nurture, and expand the company’s network of local partners, including real estate agents, contractors, suppliers, and financial institutions.
- Identify and onboard new strategic partners that can enhance the company’s operational capabilities and market reach.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of operations professionals in Indonesia.
- Provide clear direction, set performance expectations, and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant Indonesian laws, regulations, and industry standards related to real estate, construction, and business operations.
- Proactively identify and mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risks.
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to navigate complex regulatory landscapes.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Real Estate, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within the real estate, property technology (PropTech), or a highly decentralized business model.
- Proven track record of successfully scaling operations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, ideally in Indonesia.
- Understanding of the Indonesian real estate market, including regulatory frameworks, local customs, and market dynamics.
- Strong business acumen with a solid grasp of financial management, budgeting, and P&L responsibility.
- Experience in building and managing large, diverse teams.
- Data-driven decision-maker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English (written and spoken) is essential.
- Willingness to travel within Indonesia.
