About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Specialist to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level infrastructure solutions. This role involves delivering technical projects, providing 3rd level support, and managing critical IT operations for a major public sector organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and manage enterprise infrastructure including VMware vSphere , SAN , Windows Servers , and Active Directory .
- Oversee VMware ESX HA Clusters , vSAN , Nimble Storage Arrays , and Brocade Fibre Channel switches .
- Manage AD components: GPOs, DNS, ADFS, Azure AD, ADCS , and scripting automation.
- Deliver solutions adhering to organizational methodologies, project plans, and budgets.
- Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and architectural diagrams.
- Ensure compliance with ITIL processes: incident, change, and service management .
- Collaborate with IT Architects and Cyber Security teams to maintain a robust infrastructure and security posture.
- Participate in on-call rotation and occasional after-hours support.
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years in IT infrastructure roles.
- 3+ years of experience with:
- VMware vSphere and virtualized environments.
- Windows Server , failover clusters, and file shares.
- SAN , Fibre Channel configurations, and zoning.
- Microsoft Active Directory , Azure AD, DNS, and GPOs.
- Cloud experience (AWS or Azure) and PowerShell scripting proficiency.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills .
