A Taleo client is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Server & Storage Lead to drive the strategic planning, implementation, and management of our server and storage environments. This role will ensure that infrastructure capabilities evolve to meet business needs, while maintaining operational excellence and adopting emerging technologies. This position is fully on-site and based in Edmonton, Alberta.
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading server and storage infrastructure initiatives in enterprise-scale environments.
- Strong technical expertise in Windows/Linux servers, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), SAN/NAS storage systems, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) .
- Experience managing hybrid infrastructure environments (on-premises and cloud).
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure security, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant certifications highly desirable, such as:
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- AWS Solutions Architect
Technical Expertise in:
- Server Virtualization: VMware vSphere (preferred).
- Cloud Platforms: AWS or other major providers.
- Storage: SAN, NAS, and DAS technologies (Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, SMB).
- Backup & Recovery: Avamar, Veeam, Data Domain or similar solutions.
- Automation & Orchestration: Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell.
- Security & Compliance: Access control, encryption, vulnerability management, and compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST, GDPR).
