Reliability Engineer
Location: Baie d’Urfé

The Engineering department is responsible for building maintenance, production equipment, and housekeeping. Under the supervision of the Maintenance Sector Manager, the Reliability Engineer is responsible for equipment reliability activities and developing maintenance strategies. They must work closely with maintenance, production, quality, and project teams to continuously monitor performance.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Analyze and propose:
  • Analyze equipment performance based on production results and maintenance management system history (GMAO).
  • Identify causes, evaluate impacts for failures, non-quality issues, and economic opportunities.
  • Identify maintenance actions for new projects, evaluate impacts.
  • Propose reliability and development activities aligned with priorities and potential gains.
  • Organize and execute:
    • Manage the Reliability action plan in GMAO to ensure activities are completed on time.
    • Participate in maintenance planning processes to ensure team engagement.
    • Participate in executing activities at various levels.
    • Organize the annual shutdown maintenance plan.
  • Consolidate and support:
    • Implement reliability and maintenance development activities.
    • Manage performance indicators to ensure sustained gains.
    • Maintain maintenance system standards (preventive, corrective, GMP actions, criticality scale, terminology standardization).
  • Train:
    • Develop and implement maintenance training plans.
    • Coach and train maintenance technicians to optimize work methods and preventive systems.
  • Plan:
    • Set reliability improvement, cost reduction, and training objectives for the three-year plan, supported by performance indicators.
  • Safety:
    • Contribute to creating and implementing Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental procedures.
    • Ensure safety and environmental rules are followed by contractors.
    • Report SHE risks and suggest improvements.

    Basic Requirements

    • Degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering (or equivalent professional background).
    • Fluent in French (verbal/written) and functional English.
    • Knowledge of GMAO software and MS Office.
    • Minimum of 2 years in a technical/industrial engineering or maintenance reliability role, or significant maintenance experience with reliability training/experience.
    • Practical knowledge of preventive maintenance and reliability improvement programs, including root cause analysis.
    • Experience troubleshooting mechanical systems, general machine design, engineering calculations, packaging equipment, and manufacturing equipment.
    • Ability to read and understand machine drawings and schematic diagrams.
