We are partnered with a fast-growing technology business based in Europe which is looking for an experienced interim
Head of Finance
to support the leadership team with their next phase of growth. This is a key role at the heart of the business, providing the financial insight, structure, and processes needed to support our continued growth.

The Role

As Interim
Head of Finance
, you will work closely with senior leadership to strengthen the company’s financial foundations. You’ll be responsible for improving financial reporting and KPI tracking, enhancing processes and systems, and building out board reporting packs that provide clear, data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making. Within this role you’ll play a pivotal part in shaping how we measure success, drive efficiency, and deliver transparency across the business.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be expected to travel regularly and work from European offices two to three days per week. Contract length is three to six months, and you will be paid on a daily rate, plus any travel expenses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the finance function, ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful reporting.
  • Improve KPI tracking and performance dashboards to support commercial decision-making.
  • Enhance financial systems and processes to scale with the business.
  • Build and present board packs, ensuring clarity and actionable insight for stakeholders.
  • Partner with leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and best practices.

About You

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with commercial awareness and a collaborative approach. The ideal candidate will bring experience from a
software or technology business
and a deep understanding of the dynamics and challenges of scaling in this sector.

You will also have:

  • A professional finance qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Strong experience in financial reporting, analysis, and process improvement.
  • Direct experience working within a private equity backed business
  • Strong ability to operate within Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • A track record of driving efficiencies through systems and technology.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
