We are seeking an
experienced Business Analyst
with
at least 7-10 years of experience
in the
financial services industry
, ideally gained in
consulting environments
. The successful candidate will have proven expertise working with
exchanges, banks, and clearing houses
, along with in-depth knowledge of
risk management
and
market risk
.

This role demands a solid understanding of the
trading lifecycle
, including
clearing and settlement processes
, as well as the ability to
translate business needs into detailed software requirement documents
. Strong
SQL
and
data analysis
skills are essential, while
Python programming
experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Collaborate with exchanges, banks, and clearing houses to define requirements and design solutions.
  • Assess and provide insights on
    risk management frameworks
    , with a focus on
    market risk
    .
  • Map and analyze the
    end-to-end trading lifecycle
    , including clearing and settlement.
  • Prepare clear and comprehensive
    Software Requirements Specifications (SRS)
    and other documentation.
  • Perform
    data analysis using SQL
    , including complex query building for reporting and insights.
  • Leverage
    Python programming
    (where applicable) to support analytics or automation.
  • Break down business requirements into
    clear, actionable task items
    and discuss these with developers to ensure accurate implementation.
  • Bridge communication between business and technical teams to ensure alignment.
  • Support project planning, execution, and delivery to meet business objectives.

Key Requirements

  • 7+ years
    of experience in the
    financial services industry
    , preferably in consulting roles.
  • Strong background working with
    exchanges, banks, and clearing houses
    .
  • Deep understanding of
    risk management
    , specifically
    market risk
    .
  • Familiarity with the
    trading lifecycle
    , including clearing and settlement.
  • Demonstrated ability to write
    clear and detailed software requirement documents
    .
  • Excellent working experience with
    SQL
    and
    data analysis
    .
  • Python programming
    skills (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work
    onsite in Germany
    .
