Here’s the opportunity:
Futurpreneur is committed to leveraging technology to drive innovation, enhance efficiency, and deliver exceptional services and offerings to our young entrepreneurs, mentors, and internal teams. As part of those efforts, we are seeking a talented and experienced hands-on IT Manager to join our dynamic team.
As the IT Manager , you will play a pivotal role in leading our IT department and ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our technology infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing a team of IT professionals, overseeing day-to-day IT operations, monitoring systems for cyber security threats, and providing direction to support the organization’s goals and objectives. Reporting to the Head of IT & Digital Experience, this is a hands-on role that requires significant technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
The IT Manager will also be responsible for managing and contributing to the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization’s information systems, cloud infrastructure (including SaaS applications) and overall technology infrastructure, applying ITIL Service Management best practices.
This is a full time, permanent role, based in Toronto, ON. The incumbent will be working on our hybrid work model (minimum 2 days in the office).
Job responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management – 20%
- Work with the Head of IT & Digital Experience to develop and implement strategic plans for the organization’s IT infrastructure, considering current and future business needs, technological advancements, and industry best practices
- Oversee network configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Ensure VPN tunnels are properly encrypted and authenticated to protect sensitive data during transit
- Manage Active Directory services, including user
