YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You design, implement, and maintain scalable, event-driven backend services using Kotlin, with a strong focus on architectural clarity and maintainability.
  • You collaborate with infrastructure engineers and integrate with components like Nomad, Consul, and Keycloak to ensure high availability and system performance.
  • You contribute to deployment strategies and enhance observability and internal tooling to support reliable operations.
  • You ensure testability by writing comprehensive automated tests as part of a quality-focused development process.

THAT’S YOU

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant industry experience.
  • Proven experience working in backend development with Kotlin (or Java), and are familiar with tools such as Docker, Nomad, Consul, and Keycloak.
  • Designed testable, maintainable systems and write comprehensive tests, with hands-on exposure to DevOps practices and observability tooling.
  • Open, transparent and strong communication skills in English to collaborate effectively in a multinational R&D organization, German or Flemish are optional but advantageous.
