WSP is seeking a highly motivated Lead / Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join our Ground Engineering and Materials Team in Victoria, BC. You will be part of a successful team, managing and executing high-profile projects throughout BC and Yukon.

What you can expect to do here :
- Collaborate on geotechnical consulting projects with engineering staff
- Share technical knowledge across regions to foster innovation
- Lead geotechnical studies and prepare engineering reports with recommendations
- Support multidisciplinary projects such as highways, bridges, buildings, dams, and tunneling
- Manage geotechnical investigation programs, prepare bidding documents, evaluate bids, and support project engineers
- Assess geotechnical issues like settlements, liquefaction, slope stability, and more
- Supervise field operations including boreholes, in situ tests, and construction activities
- Perform other related tasks as needed
What you’ll bring to WSP :
- Degree in Geotechnical or Geological Engineering from an accredited university
- Registered or eligible to register as a Professional Geotechnical Engineer (Peng) with EGBC
- At least 10 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of geotechnical software such as GeoStudio, Ensoft, Rocscience
- Initiative and self-direction
- Proven track record of managing projects on time and within budget
- Ability to critically evaluate geotechnical analyses

Salary range in BC: $113,500 – $156,000. Final salary depends on education, experience, and other factors.
