About the opportunity:
Within the Corporate IT environment, the Manager, SAP Finance Applications manages, develops and supports the SAP system for assigned business units. Partners with unit executives and directors to identify SAP technology solutions that support the achievement of business objectives. Works with key business users to define the requirements for new system or process enhancements to existing applications. The position is also responsible for managing direct reports to execute SAP projects and providing on-going end user support.
The attributes we are looking for:
- Determine customer requirements and processes by gathering information concerning business needs and improvement opportunities.
- Plan the implementation of system changes by preparing project plans, timelines and integration testing plans impacting all areas of the SAP environment.
- Develop, measure and monitor ongoing effectiveness of IT services for the assigned business unit and his/her direct reports
- Plan and manage projects including a team of people responsible for developing functional specifications, designing and configuring process and system enhancements, providing work direction, and coordinating the implementation of the changes, and prepare and/or reviewing configuration and user documentation for each project.
- Provide ongoing support by identifying and resolving system problems and training end users in the use of SAP and business processes.
- Implement, maintain and support 3rd party software solutions which are interfaced with related SAP modules.
- Manage a team of direct reports who are responsible for executing development projects and on-going support of the SAP environment. Provide staff with work direction, guidance and conduct performance reviews, and determine training and development needs.
What you will bring:
- Bachelors or advanced degree in relevant discipline
- Minimum ten (10) years experience in implementing and/or supporting SAP ECC Finance and Controlling modules
- Experience in people management practices, administrative management, project management, budgeting and planning
- SAP certification in related modules
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to effectively manage other direct reports
- Ability to provide a high level of customer service
- Ability to communicate effectively with all employees including the executive levels
- Ability to develop and present formal presentations
- Ability to maintain current knowledge of new developments in technical areas for possible application within the company
- Thorough understanding of database design and data modeling techniques
- Strong understanding and ability to optimize business processes, systems and reporting requirements for assigned business unit, in relation to the packaged goods industry
