DynaIndustrial is actively seeking a Mechanic Shop Manager for our Saskatoon facility. This individual should be a strong leader, reporting directly to the Operations Manager. The role requires drive, determination, and ambition to grow the Millwright department through effective leadership and creative management of the shop. The ideal candidate leads by example, sets high standards, and is committed to accountability and quality.
The Mechanic Shop Manager will oversee shop staff, coordinate incoming work, manage safety protocols, monitor purchases, coordinate coatings and vendor inspections, and manage material flow within the shop. They will collaborate closely with Production, the Operations Manager, Project Manager, and Quality Control Manager to ensure customer needs are met with quality and timeliness.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience as a Millwright or in a similar industrial trade
- Outgoing, positive personality for dealing with internal and external contacts
- 3-5 years of managerial experience in a similar role
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to motivate and develop staff
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings
