Reports to: MRI Supervisor
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: 10-13 hour shifts, typically 3-4 days per week, with potential to be 5 day per week when needed
Status: Permanent Full Time
Closing Date: August 31, 2025

Duties
- Builds MRI Protocols on scanners as outlined in the research documents/imaging guidelines
- Performs PET-MRI and MRI Procedures as outlined in the protocol/procedure manuals to aid in patient diagnosis, intervention and or treatment
- Ensures MRI Safety Standards of Practice are followed at all times
- Operates, troubleshoots and ensures safe functioning of medical imaging and ancillary equipment are performing in an effective and efficient manner
- Prepare written and electronic reports required to properly document all procedures and test results
- Attend Research meetings, as required
- Assist in the preparation of manuscripts and grand applications and data processing
- Responsible for teaching, training, educational research, safety and quality improvement programs/activities
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and utilizing the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) to review, manipulate and archive digital medical images of data in final image formation
- Perform other related patient care responsibilities to facilitate the provision of optimal patient care
- Understand and follow Hospital and departmental Research policies and procedures to improve technical quality
- Administration of radiopharmaceuticals intravenously under the direction of the nuclear medicine physician or authorized user
- Calculate, measure and record radiation dosage of radiopharmaceuticals received, used and disposed under the direction of the nuclear medicine physician
- Disposal of radioactive materials and storage of radiopharmaceuticals following all CNSC requirements
- Reconstruction of image data for subsequent quantitative analyses applying applying appropriate corrections for attenuation, random scatters, motion etc. per direction of the nuclear medicine physician or physicist
