About the Role
We’re seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our Medical Affairs team, covering Ontario with a focus on the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Eastern Ontario. This MSL will be joining the team currently in pre-launch phase for a drug that will be meeting an large unmet need. This field-based role is ideal for a scientifically strong, relationship-driven professional who thrives at the intersection of science, strategy, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with healthcare professionals, investigators, and opinion leaders.
- Provide credible, balanced scientific and clinical information to support therapeutic decision-making.
- Support clinical trials and investigator-initiated studies by collaborating with researchers and investigators.
- Deliver scientific presentations and facilitate discussions at advisory boards, meetings, and conferences.
- Gather and share medical and scientific insights to inform strategy and product lifecycle planning.
- Critically review literature and prepare knowledge resources for internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner cross-functionally with colleagues in Medical Affairs, Market Access, Sales, and Regulatory.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in life sciences or related field (M.D., Ph.D., Pharm.D., or equivalent).
- Prior experience as a Medical Science Liaison with a strong scientific background.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and teaching skills.
- Strong organizational and project management ability; proven success managing multiple priorities.
- Comfortable with frequent travel (40–60% within Ontario).
- Experience in specialty care, primary care, medical education, or clinical research is an asset.
