Position Summary

Mercy San Juan Medical Center is Sacramento area’s first Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Regional receiving center for many specialties including trauma, ortho, high-risk maternity, NICU, and STEMI. Our fast-paced 31-bed Emergency Department has skilled physicians working closely with specially trained nurses and other healthcare professionals to see approximately 80,000 patients each year. Our success is reflected in high employee satisfaction scores, which are fostered by our collaborative practice with physicians, management, and staff involvement in peer interviews.
The incumbent is a professional who provides and supervises care to individuals and families, utilizing a holistic approach. They provide patient and family care based on the nursing process, ensuring a safe and confidential environment throughout care delivery. The role includes leadership responsibilities and personal professional development.

Qualifications
Minimum
- 2 years recent experience in an Emergency department as an RN within the last 5 years
- Current CA RN licensure
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ASLS (Advanced Stroke Life Support)
- TNCC required within 6 months of hire
- MICN required within 2 years of hire
