Hybrid position, 2-3d/w onsite in Toronto, 7hr/d billing, no exceptions
Roles and responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Oracle EPM and EDMCS and a deep understanding of corporate finance and data management. This role requires an individual who is comfortable working in a large, complex organizational environment and can collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary liaison between financial analysts, business stakeholders, and technical teams to gather and translate financial reporting requirements.
Manage and support Oracle EPM and EDMCS applications, ensuring data accuracy and system integrity for financial reporting and data management.
Collaborate with senior Product Owners and financial analysts to prioritize features, define user stories, and manage the product backlog.
Leverage tools like Power BI and Power Query to create comprehensive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights into financial data.
Support budgeting and corporate finance initiatives by providing technical and functional expertise on financial applications.
Ensure financial systems and data management processes adhere to internal controls and external audit requirements.
Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze data and support financial controls.
Work effectively in a cross-functional team, contributing to a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
Must have skills/ experience/qualifications
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role within a corporate finance or financial systems environment.
Extensive experience with Oracle EPM and EDMCS, 5-7yrs.
Proficiency in Power BI and Power Query for data visualization and business intelligence.
Expert-level knowledge of Excel.
Domain Expertise:
Strong understanding of corporate finance concepts, including financial reporting, controls, and audits.
Experience working in large organizations is highly preferred.
A background as an accountant is a plus but not required.
Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and financial teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
