Reporting to Ronald Millett as a Photonic Design Co-op in the Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) Design team, you will join a world-class team of engineers drafting the building blocks of the next generation of high-speed optical networks. You will use your deep knowledge of the underlying physical theory behind photonic devices, and couple that with the practical skills to create manufacturable high-performance designs.
- You will help design lasers, optical amplifiers, optical modulators and related components for performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- You will conduct s imulations of lasers, amplifiers, optical modulators and related components.
- You will a nalyze and interpret R&D test results and connect them to the underlying physical theory and computer models.
- You will be accountable for communicating clear and concise design decisions and related test data.
