This is a temporary position for up to (12) twelve months
Sinai Health is looking for an experienced Physician Assistant to support our Ambulatory Gynaecology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at our Mount Sinai Hospital Campus.
The Physician Assistant is an integral part of the busy and dynamic practice within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, in a tertiary referral centre in downtown Toronto. In this role, the Physician Assistant will work with a team consisting of three (3) staff gynaecologists and two (2) clinician fellows. The Physician Assistant will assist with all team activities including outpatient/inpatient clinical visits and procedures, patient lab/pathology monitoring and follow up, patient communication, and care coordination, as well as other activities and responsibilities as assigned, within the scope of the Physician Assistant role. The Physician Assistant will focus on patients with gynaecological disorders and pelvic floor dysfunction.
Job Requirements
Mandatory
- Successful completion of a Bachelor of Science Physician Assistant degree (BScPA) from an accredited educational institution
- Current registration with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
Preferred
- Graduate of the Consortium of PA Education’s ‘Physician Assistant Professional Degree Program’
- Graduate of the McMaster Physician Assistant Education Program

- Superior organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and shifting priorities while maintaining high accuracy and customer service.
- Adaptable and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced, multitasking, and dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to build interpersonal relationship; professional, diplomatic and confident in collaborating with individuals at all organizational levels
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion, make decisions and take initiative while working with confidential patient information and responding to patient inquiries.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the demonstrated ability to clearly define, articulate, and convey factual information and detailed explanations.
- Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history.
