What We Do

The Portfolio Construction Manager will create model portfolios for Fidelity’s prospects and clients, collaborating with Portfolio Strategists. The role supports all sales regions and involves expertise in Fidelity’s product offerings, third-party products, industry trends, and competitor intelligence. You will be involved in developing and supporting Fidelity Portfolio Solutions.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Contribute to asset allocation discussions and investment model portfolio strategies.
  • Use investment tools and market research to make recommendations, analyzing risk, return, and diversification.
  • Partner with Portfolio Strategists to build investment models.
  • Conduct third-party manager research using quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Monitor products within portfolios and communicate impacts.
  • Develop relationships with Portfolio Strategists and their clients.
  • Establish Fidelity Canada as a leader in portfolio construction.
  • Maintain expert knowledge on portfolio concepts.
  • Identify opportunities to develop strategies that increase market penetration and customer loyalty.
  • Educate and promote Fidelity’s portfolio philosophy and strengths.
  • Support marketing and communication efforts with accurate information.
  • Assist in developing thought leadership content.
  • Support education on portfolio construction for clients with varying investment knowledge.
  • Provide insights for product development and improvement.
  • Assist Portfolio Strategists with ad hoc queries.

What We’re Looking For

  • University degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of investment market expertise.
  • CF, MBA, or CAIA is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Canadian asset and wealth management industries.
  • 3+ years building and maintaining model portfolios or managing third-party investment managers.
