We are inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant, Data Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for coding, testing, and delivering high-quality solutions, with a willingness to learn new technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead and collaborate within a cross-functional Agile team to develop software for data ingestion and entity resolution platforms.
- Design and implement application, data, and infrastructure architectures.
- Work with large and complex data sets from various sources.
- Develop user-driven prototypes to explore technical options and architectural approaches.
- Build efficient storage and search functions for structured and unstructured data.
- Utilize programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, and work with Relational and NoSQL databases.
- Learn and apply newer entity resolution technologies like the Quantexa platform.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech./MCA degree.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in managing large-scale data processing and instrumentation.
- Strong coding skills in Java, Python, or Scala.
- Knowledge of big data ecosystems and engineering best practices.
- Experience with big data products like Databricks, Elasticsearch, Snowflake.
- Building batch and real-time data pipelines.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases such as DB2, MongoDB.
- Familiarity with data formats like Parquet, CSV, JSON, XML.
- Knowledge of Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, Iceberg, Airflow, data modeling, and columnar databases.
- Experience with distributed systems.
- Understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and code quality.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration and explaining technical concepts.
- Experience with REST APIs, Databricks/Delta Lake, and client data sourcing.
