Job Description:
As a Principal Hardware Engineer, you will design, develop, and deliver Ultra High-performance electronic products. You may also provide technical leadership to a small design team. We seek candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment. Our culture emphasizes small teams of highly experienced engineers, with a One Person One Board development approach. You will own all aspects of EE hardware design, including BOM creation, vendor negotiations, circuit/board design, development, and validation. Our Cradle to Grave lifecycle means ownership extends beyond product shipment, including customer trials, field issues, and product sustaining.
You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across Hardware, ASIC, Signal, Mechanical, Thermal, Diagnostic, Packaging, and Manufacturing engineering. Joint development programs may involve extensive interaction with partner teams.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience with large high-powered SOCs based on advanced silicon and packaging technologies, including 2D, 2.5D, and 3D with memories.
- Familiarity with precision scopes, analyzers, and validation tools.
- Knowledge of power and thermal issues in PCBs with 1kW+ footprints.
- High-speed & high-density signaling with SerDes rates of 112G+.
- Lifecycle product ownership of complex products from inception to volume production.
- Ability to work with support groups like Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Customer Support, Compliance, Safety, and Sustainability.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 12+ years of experience.
Beneficial Experience:
- Experience as a small team lead or proven technical mentor for high-speed hardware designers.
