Job Description
We are seeking a Project Engineer for our A&N Sonar team. You will lead project engineers and support teams, ensuring smooth execution and assisting Program Managers with requirements, cost, and schedule monitoring. Your role involves collaborating with leadership, analyzing risks, engaging with cross-functional teams, and supporting design, analysis, testing, and documentation to deliver high-impact solutions.
- Lead project engineers and support personnel during execution
- Coordinate with leadership to meet project needs
- Provide technical input and review outputs from subcontractors
- Ensure project objectives are met on schedule and within budget
- Review project performance, analyze risks, and initiate corrective actions
- Interface with support departments, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Contracts
- Communicate with customers
- Perform design, analysis, testing, and document activities
- Write and execute formal test cases, prepare reports
- Investigate system problems and field incidents
- Support higher-level integration and qualification testing
- Present work at reviews and peer meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
- 8+ years of experience
- Experience in requirements development, system design, and management tools
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering processes, system integration, verification, and technical writing
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical ability
- Enthusiastic, eager to learn, and committed to ownership of work
