Job Title: Project Manager – Residential / Retirement / Care Homes
Location: Southampton Area
Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 + Package
Job Type: Permanent

A well-established developer and contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a new-build residential development in the Southampton area. The scheme includes high-specification elements, built using traditional methods.
The Role: You will take full ownership of the project, from pre-construction and technical coordination through to delivery and handover. This is a hands-on Project Manager role, requiring strong technical knowledge and a keen eye for quality and detail.
You will be supported by a stable commercial and delivery team and report directly to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the build from pre-construction to completion
- Coordinate with design and technical consultants
- Manage site teams, subcontractors, and programme delivery
- Ensure all work meets required specifications, quality, and compliance standards
- Maintain strong health & safety standards
- Liaise with stakeholders and provide regular progress reports
Requirements:
- Proven experience delivering traditional build residential projects
- Background in care homes or retirement living is essential
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Good understanding of technical drawings and construction methodology
- Track record of delivering schemes to a high standard
