Overview
The Corporate QA Manager will develop, implement, and maintain the Conexus Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering continuous improvement. Reporting to the Director of Nuclear Safety & Environmental Affairs, the role oversees the QMS and the CANDU Industry Assessment Committee (CANIAC) Joint Audit Program, supporting industry-wide audit practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic direction of the QA Program, aligning with organizational and industry standards.
- Manage QA activities, including planning and execution of program initiatives.
- Oversee the CANIAC joint audit program.
- Represent Conexus in industry forums and coordinate with stakeholders.
Additional Duties
- Develop and oversee the QMS related to project delivery and governance.
- Monitor and improve service delivery quality standards.
- Lead process improvement initiatives and standardize policies across lines of business.
- Design training programs for staff on QA and governance standards.
- Coordinate external QA audits and ensure compliance and timely responses.
- Support other business units to align with QMS standards.
Requirements
- Knowledge of nuclear quality assurance standards (CSA N299, N286, ASME NQA-1, etc.).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Lead auditor certification and nuclear sector auditing experience preferred.
- Experience in quality assurance within nuclear utilities or engineering organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex QA programs and manage documentation systems.
Success Indicators
- Full implementation and adherence to the QMS across all lines of business.
- Timely delivery of CANIAC audits and quality of audit reports.
- Current and well-understood QA policies and effective staff training.
