Location and Shift Information: Selected candidate may be working in a hybrid work model (i.e. office, home and outdoors) and must be able to travel between locations throughout the City of Toronto.
Major Responsibilities:
Reporting to Transportation Services – Fleet, Facilities & Winter Co-ordination Unit, the Research Analyst 1 will research, compile and analyze data and information necessary for infrastructure management, AVL/GPS systems administration, capital upgrades, fleet planning and compiling data for claims against the City.
- Assists in the administration of Transportation’s AVL/GPS system by managing user access, developing customized reports, identifying sensor/AVL/GPS installation requirements, modifying vehicle/asset information regularly and troubleshooting after consultation and guidance from management.
- Reviews, interprets and meets as required with management on developing various Fleet Procurement Plans. Prioritizes new equipment and vehicle procurement with a focus on detail of Divisional requirements, specifications and co-ordination between units.
- Assists with capital construction and renovation projects on Transportation Yards, Salt Domes and other Transportation facilities from initiation to completion, with a focus on document management, regular inspections and co-ordination between stakeholders.
- Reviews Transportation’s Fleet by regularly meeting with Fleet Services and Co-ordinating maintenance, AVL/GPS, procurement, new technology/equipment initiatives and other projects & programs with Transportation Management to ensure that Transportation has a fully utilized, efficient and reliable Fleet.
