TheRetail Accountant is responsible for supporting the Retail Finance Team of Lindt & Sprungli (Canada), Inc and will report to the Accounting Manager. This position will be responsible assisting in internal and external reporting of the retail business, and the day-to-day operational support of the retail operations. This position involves general ledger management, financial reporting, management reporting, cash management, internal controls support and operational support for the retail business. The role will have contact with senior-level members of the organization including Directors, VPs and Controllers. The successful candidate will require: strong interpersonal communication skills, attention to detail, and have the ability to manage competing priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the monthly, quarterly and year-end financial close and reporting process; including but not limited to the preparation and processing of journal entries, monthly general ledger review and preparation of reporting and analytics, etc.
- Responsible for reconciliation of Retail related balance sheet accounts, ie:
