Job Summary:
Provides health care services to the organization’s employees in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides treatment for job-related injuries and illnesses.
- Conducts new hire health screenings, respirator fit testing, and immunization clinics.
- Ensures compliance with applicable workplace safety laws and regulations. May also conduct safety training programs.
- Provides employee counseling and referrals for occupational injuries and illnesses as well as other health-related matters.
- Monitors trends and causes of employee safety events and works with colleagues to identify areas of safety risk.
- Designs and implements training programs to ensure employee safety in the office.
- Uses the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses to guide responses to health and nursing needs.
- Demonstrates professional nursing standards as defined in the professional practice model.
- Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
Experience:
- One year experience as an RN.
Physical Requirements:
- Constant use of speech, standing, walking, and frequent lifting/carrying (0-25 lbs.), sitting, reaching, and data entry.
- Frequent use of vision, smell, and hearing.
- Occasional lifting/moving of patients and objects weighing 25-50 lbs., bending, stooping, and other movements.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- RN license in Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin, with specific requirements per state.
