Job Title: Rossburn Family Physician – Independent Contract
Location: On site – Rossburn Health Centre (166 Parkview Drive, Rossburn, MB R0J 1V0). There is no option to work remotely.
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Anticipated Shift: Full Time, Days, Early Mornings, Mornings, Evenings, Nights, On Call, Weekends
Daily Hours Worked: Various hour shifts (30 to 40 hours per week)
Wage Rate: Compensation is Independent Contractor as per the Doctors Manitoba and Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living negotiated rates. Benefits are not provided, but may be purchased if the successful candidate so desires.
Position Summary:
Rossburn Health Centre is a 9 bed transitional care and 20 bed long term care facility. Services offered include Diagnostic, Rehabilitation, Primary Health, Public Health, Home Care, and Mental Health.
Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a Family Physician to join the Rossburn Health Centre. Duties include performing all duties associated with a family practice, including diagnosing and treating diseases, physiological disorders, and injuries of patients, acting as the primary care provider and providing continuous care toward the management of patients’ health.
Work setting: Private practice, Rural area
Credentials:
- The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine degree.
- Current licensure or eligibility for full license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.
- Must be a member of CMPA or provide proof of equivalent malpractice insurance.

- Good work and attendance record.
Security and Safety:
- Complete and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate.
- All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with the Prairie Mountain Health policy.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
