We are seeking an experienced SAP BRIM SOM Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and supporting SAP Subscription Order Management (SOM) solutions for our business. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, design solutions, and configure SAP SOM modules to meet the business’s billing and revenue management needs. As a subject matter expert, you will provide guidance, troubleshooting, and support during the implementation and post-implementation phases.
Responsibilities:
- Support the gathering of business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into functional specifications for SAP BRIM SOM implementation.
- Design and configure SAP SOM module to help achieve the specified business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and integration specialists, to ensure smooth integration of SAP SOM with other systems such as Salesforce, web, and mobile applications.
- Conduct system testing and provide support to the internal QA team and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet the business requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP SOM configuration, data migration, and integration with other systems.
- Provide post-implementation support, including resolving production issues, conducting system performance tuning, and assisting with enhancements and upgrades.
- Stay up to date with SAP BRIM SOM module updates, new functionalities, and industry best practices to continuously improve the solution delivery process.
- Train end-users and create user documentation and training materials.
Qualifications:
- Must have SAP Billing Revenue Innovation Management (BRIM) implementation experience with expertise in SAP Subscription Order Management (SAP BRIM SOM).
- Specific knowledge of SAP Subscription Order Management processes within the SAP BRIM solution including master data setup, product modelling, cross-catalog mapping, Order distribution infrastructure (ODI), SD pricing for recurring and one-off charges for post and prepaid scenarios, consumption rating.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field is an asset.
- Proven experience (2-5 years) in SAP BRIM SOM implementation and support projects.
- Proficient in SAP BRIM configuration, customization, and integration with other SAP modules and external systems such as SAP CI, SAP CC, SFDC, mobile, etc.
- Familiar with SAP S/4HANA, API Testing Platforms (e.g., SoapUI, Postman), Salesforce, and Enterprise Integration Patterns is an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Desired Additional Skills:
- Experience with SAP Materials Management module is an asset.
- Ability to debug SAP code.
- Ability to work with ABAP developers, providing functional expertise and guidance to meet business requirements.
- Ability to create presentation/workshop decks and present them at various forums.
- Ability to create/update process flows for proposed business processes involving SAP and external systems.
