If you’re looking for an exciting job where you’ll work undercover, this opportunity is for you! As a Floor Detective, you will play a key role in preventing shoplifting, fraud, vandalism, and other offenses.
What’s in it for you?
Starting wage of $22.10 per hour (including the $0.10 P9 premium)
Eligibility for P4 ($0.60) and P12 ($0.50) premiums (proof required)
Work in plain clothes – no uniform required

What does a Floor Detective do in Ottawa?
Patrol the sales floor to monitor customers who may attempt shoplifting, fraud, vandalism, or other offenses
Monitor and detect to ensure all merchandise leaving the store has been paid for
Intervene and apprehend customers attempting to leave the store with unpaid merchandise
Conduct arrests
Write daily and incident reports with rigor and professionalism
Testify in court when required
What we’re looking for:
Valid Security Guard License
Minimum experience in security (an asset)
Availability for part-time daytime and evening shifts
Bilingualism (an asset)
Good judgment and autonomy
Strong observation skills and sense of responsibility
Ability to react quickly in emergency situations
Having a car is considered a strong asset
