Job Description
Infrastructure Security enhances clients’ ability to detect, prevent, and respond to threats across networks, clouds, endpoints, mobile, and IoT. This includes cloud security, network architecture, security controls, remote access, and endpoint detection & response.
The candidate should have strong experience with security technologies such as Firewalls, WAF, Web Proxy, IDS/IPS, Endpoint Security, and metrics related to Security, Network performance, capacity, and availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain client’s network security operations, supporting perimeter firewalls, web application firewalls, Azure security, and endpoints.
- Deep knowledge of Azure Cloud native security services; experience with other cloud providers (AWS, GCP) is a plus.
- Maintain policy and procedure documentation, including reviews and updates.
- Automate operational tasks to improve processes.
- Plan and implement infrastructure security activities.
- Implement native security hardware and software, focusing on network segmentation and traffic inspection.
- Analyze network security needs and support hardware/software integration and installation.
- Troubleshoot and develop solutions for network/security issues.
- Perform network changes following change management processes.
- Administer perimeter security systems such as firewalls, IDS, endpoints, and web proxies.
- Advise project teams on security design.
- Integrate with WAN, LAN, server architectures, and other security initiatives.
- Travel as required.
Basic Qualifications
- At least 5 years in network security design, operations, and administration.
- Minimum 3 years implementing firewall solutions (Cisco preferred, Palo Alto) for large organizations.
- Strong knowledge of security operations, monitoring, network segmentation, IPS/IDS, and Cisco firewalls.
- At least 2 years working with UNIX/Windows security platforms.
- 1 year experience with network packet capture and analysis.
- Eligible for Canadian federal security clearance (reliability level).
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Vendor certifications (CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, AZ-500).
- Industry security certifications (e.g., CISSP).
- Experience with Big 4 or global SI firms is highly valued.
- Knowledge of cyber defense vendors and products.
- Willingness to travel.
- Experience deploying Microsoft Sentinel and Defender for Cloud.
