Job Description:

Start your career with a recognized leader in geoscience technology and solutions! As a member of Viridien’s Subsurface Imaging team, you will receive comprehensive training in seismic data acquisition, wavelet processing, and velocity modeling to generate precise 3D images of the Earth’s subsurface. This role enables you to help clients maximize data value and make informed assessments to minimize environmental impact and exploration risk. You will experiment with mathematical and geophysical concepts while leveraging state-of-the-art technology and high-performance computing to ensure high-quality outputs.

You will work collaboratively within a diverse team to solve complex subsurface challenges. Responsibilities include managing daily operations, performing data analysis, quality control, research-driven problem-solving, and workflow optimization. You will also collaborate with Research and Software Development teams to develop innovative techniques and contribute to publications on emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

  • PhD or Master’s in Geophysics, Physics, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or related fields
  • Excellent physical intuition
  • Strong problem-solving and mathematical skills
  • Highly motivated and eager to learn
  • Collaborative team player
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience with UNIX preferred
