Position Summary…
The Senior Analyst, Walmart Services – Financial Services Strategy & Go-To-Market, will play a key role in developing the Financial Services strategy. They will support strategic initiatives, new product delivery, and commercialization. The role involves conducting current and target state assessments based on the competitive landscape and internal capabilities, sharing insights and recommendations with leadership. The successful candidate will join a fast-paced, growing team focused on building financial solutions for Walmart customers.
What you’ll do…
- Strategy Definition: Gather industry insights and cross-functional inputs to support the development of the long-range Financial Services strategy. Conduct analyses such as customer research, segmentation, market sizing, and competitor analysis to inform a multi-year roadmap. Scope and prioritize initiatives to meet strategic goals. Facilitate strategic planning sessions & workshops with leadership.
- New Product Design & Commercialization: Support defining product constructs and delivery options (e.g., build vs. partner). Assist in partner selection via RFPs and vendor evaluations. Develop business cases and support contracting with cross-functional teams.
- Product Management & Delivery: Build relationships with internal stakeholders (Product, Tech, Ecomm, Legal, Compliance, etc.) and vendors to support product delivery and operations. Represent the FS business in project forums. Facilitate workshops, draft documents (business requirements, SOPs, customer flows), inform roadmaps, and support marketing and training plans.
- Communication & Socialization: Prepare executive presentations and reports to communicate strategy and performance to senior leadership and partners.
- Business Performance Management: Maintain reporting dashboards and templates for relevant products/projects. Support ad-hoc requests related to product performance and risk assessments.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel). Experience in Financial Services or Payments preferred. Prior experience in consulting or corporate strategy is a plus.
