Job Description: Senior Environmental Engineer

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and executing complex projects from concept to construction
  • Developing detailed engineering designs
  • Overseeing permitting and compliance
  • Managing construction activities including quality control and contractor coordination
  • Collaborating with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams for successful project outcomes
  • Mentoring junior staff and fostering professional growth
  • Managing budgets, preparing reports, and building client relationships

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field and PE certification (or ability to obtain licensure in WA within 3 months, and ID thereafter)
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in stormwater design, environmental remediation, and site development
  • Proficiency with Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Experience managing projects and mentoring teams
  • Skills in engineering design, permitting, and construction management

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with industrial stormwater design, utility design, or grading plans
  • Construction oversight or management experience
  • Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis skills
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification with current refresher
  • Strong project management and leadership abilities

Compensation Range: $130,000 to $160,000
