Location: Hybrid – Toronto (3 days/week in office)
Type: Full-time | Permanent
Compensation: 150-200k base range + 10% bonus + strong equity package (pre IPO)
A hyper-growth SaaS platform in the commercial services space is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to build and enhance their industry-leading platform used by thousands of field and office teams across North America. You’ll work on a modern, event-driven architecture with high-traffic APIs, a React-based front end, and a collaborative, high-output engineering culture.
This is a hands-on role with ownership across the stack- shaping both the short- and long-term technical vision alongside an elite team of engineers.
What You’ll Do
- Architect, build, and maintain real-time, event-driven backend services (Node.js, GraphQL, REST)
- Develop and optimize a React-based frontend for speed, scalability, and great user experience
- Write clean, well-tested, reusable code with high test coverage and documentation
- Improve and extend GraphQL + REST APIs for internal and external use
- Partner with QA to ensure high precision and stability in releases
- Mentor and guide engineers, influencing technology choices and best practices
- Drive technical design discussions, perform code reviews, and champion quality standards
- Prototype features, explore new technologies, and give feedback to shape the product roadmap
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years in software engineering, ideally in a fast-paced SaaS environment
- Strong experience with React.js , Node.js , and GraphQL
- Familiarity with Material-UI, CI/CD pipelines, and Python for backend work (a plus)
- Experience with unit testing (Jest), debugging, profiling, and performance monitoring
- Proven ability to mentor engineers and influence technical decisions
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills
- Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience in event-driven systems and large-scale API design
- Prior exposure to complex, multi-tenant SaaS platforms
- Contributions to open-source projects or engineering communities
