What is the opportunity?
You will develop services to resolve technical and business system needs, working closely with various partners across IT and business.
Job Summary
Design and develop Retail Banking applications in an IIB/ACE environment. Involved in all development and maintenance aspects within a well-established team. Requires experience with middleware technologies such as IIB/ACE and MQSeries, and familiarity with z/OS.
You will be involved in all development phases, from code design to production, in an Agile environment with modern automation for deployments (CI/CD) and monitoring (SRE).
What will you do?
- Design, code, and document applications in WMB/IIB environment. Hands-on with IBM ACE is a PLUS.
- Act as Project Manager or Tech Lead to determine best development approaches to meet requirements.
- Prepare technical specifications for projects following security and architecture guidelines.
- Apply design techniques like top-down analysis and component-based design.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Participate in reviews of specifications, programs, and test plans.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
- 5+ years in application development with proven quality solutions.
- Understanding of automated build/deploy processes with Jenkins and experience with DevOps.
- Exposure to Middleware technologies like MQ Series, Cloud, Springboot, PCF, OpenShift, IBM ODM.
- Experience with programming languages such as ESQL, JCL, Java, C, XML, UML.
- Knowledge of REST, JDBC, JCA, Java, Connector Architecture.
- Experience with AIX, Linux, Windows OS, and databases like DB2 and SQL.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of Kafka, NiFi, Groovy, Python, Maven, Elastic Stack.
- Knowledge of federated authentication and deployment platforms like Jenkins, Nexus, IBM UCD.
- Experience with Unit Testing frameworks and automation.
