This role bridges business needs with technology delivery, ensuring that data products improve decision-making, and drive revenue, efficiency, while meeting regulatory requirements.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Collaborate with business units, analytics teams, and technology partners to capture requirements, identify opportunities, and prioritize use cases.

  • Define and manage data product backlogs, set clear priorities, and communicate trade-off decisions.
  • Oversee testing, quality assurance, and deployment processes to ensure products are trusted, compliant, and fit for purpose.
  • Act as the voice of the customer (internal stakeholders) in delivery cycles, ensuring solutions meet business objectives while complying with governance and security policies.
  • Embed governance-by-design in data product development, including metadata management, lineage tracking, and data quality rules.
  • Monitor product performance against defined KPIs, driving enhancements based on business value, usage analytics, and stakeholder feedback.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data, Analytics, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  • 7+ years’ experience in product ownership, data strategy, or analytics within the financial services sector.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, or Azure) and modern data architecture principles.

Preferred:

  • Certifications in Agile Product Ownership (CSPO, PSPO)
  • Familiarity with data governance tools (Collibra, Informatica, Alation) and data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Experience in Data Product delivery.
  • Strategic thinking with ability to translate vision into actionable roadmaps.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to bridge business, technical, and regulatory domains.
  • Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to prioritization and performance measurement.
  • Ability to navigate complex, matrixed organizations and influence without direct authority.

Success Measures

  • Adoption and usage growth of data products across business lines.
  • Reduction in time-to-insight for critical business decisions.
  • Compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards.
  • Measurable business value generated (cost savings, revenue enablement, risk reduction).

Working Conditions

  • Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
