Your Responsibilities
- Mentor and lead the Regional Supplier Quality Management Team. The teams is responsible for partnering with category management, qualifying new suppliers (including supplier audits and QAAs), performing supplier re-evaluation and driving supplier development.
- Actively manage a wide range of stakeholders from across multiple sites within the region and multiple functions, as the team interacts closely with Category Management and takes over tasks from new product development as well as sustaining engineering.
- Ensure that all external and company standards, rules and guidelines are adhered to. Set standards, rules and guidelines for own functional area.
- Drive the continuous optimization of processes (in collaboration with Global Process Owner), organizational setup and resources within the organizational unit. Initiate activities with within the own organizational unit.
- Recruit, lead, manage and develop colleagues to ensure that they are utilized effectively, developed appropriately and performance managed to the benefit of both company and colleagues.
- Support facility audits by outside agencies (i.e., FDA, ISO / MDSAP) as point of contact and subject matter expert to demonstrate compliance to regulatory requirements of the Olympus Supplier Quality Assurance system
Your qualification
- At least a Bachelor of Science in medical, engineering, or scientific discipline
- Experience in a global medical device manufacturer or in the automotive, aerospace or pharma industry; understanding of medical device regulations both domestic and international is a plus
- Strong concentration in Supplier Quality Management
- First technical leadership experience necessary; experience leading global change initiatives and integrations for multi-site as well as multi-product businesses would be beneficial
- Fluency in German and English
- Willingness to work in a global organization with national and international travel
