The Senior Plant Manager is responsible for achieving the short- to mid-term strategic objectives while managing the P&L for production, maintenance, customer service, and supply chain. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role aims to maximize process effectiveness, readiness, synergies, and standardization; ensure high efficiency; minimize costs; and act in line with applicable standards, regulations, global manufacturing practices, and both corporate and local procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Operation Management (Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Customer Service):

  • Leads assigned functions, sets goals regarding costs, time, and quality, manages resources, systems, and processes, and collaborates with enabler functions to deliver results aligned with requirements, standards, targets, and regulations.
  • Defines and monitors the execution of production plans in terms of time, volume, mix, quality, and costs, reviewing and approving local plans in coordination with production leaders.
  • Provides technical resolutions to reduce complaints, increase service levels, and fulfill sales demand.
  • Collaborates with Quality, Tooling, Sales, and Program Management to support processes and identify areas for improvement.

Operations Strategy Execution:

  • Participates in translating strategic objectives into actionable plans.
  • Ensures effective process operation, business continuity, and compliance with ISO standards, regulations, procedures, and programs, fostering continuous improvement and process harmonization with involved functions.
  • Oversees corrective and preventive actions, ensuring timely and effective execution in compliance with standards and requirements.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Sets benchmarks and KPIs for performance measurement and identifies critical issues for corrective actions.

Budget Management:

  • Prepares and proposes budgets, including CAPEX for industrial equipment, ensuring fulfillment of COGS & Capex targets, and manages financial performance according to the assigned budget.

People Management:

  • Plans, organizes, manages, coaches, and develops staff, ensuring effective talent management, career development, and training.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Over 10 years of experience in Operations or Technical Management within the plastic sector, including injection molding technologies from initial concept to mass production, and program management in advanced components, drug delivery, and dosing systems.

Technical Competencies:

  • Knowledge of product and production processes and features.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Data analysis skills and KPI management.
  • Proficiency with ERP, IQMS, and other relevant tools.
  • Knowledge of standards such as ISO 9001, 13485, cGMP, FDA, CFR, OHSAS.
