Job Description

Description

From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.

About the Role

As Senior Product Manager of Fivetran’s SDK portfolio, you will own the portfolio that enables customers and partners to build on Fivetran’s data integration platform. Our Connector SDK is a Python library that allows data engineers to create custom connectors for data sources in minutes. Our Partner SDK enables Partners to build source and destination connectors for all Fivetran customers.

You will collaborate closely with engineering, marketing, sales, solution engineering, and developer relations to drive customer adoption and enhance our SDKs. This role is crucial for our company’s growth and key customer satisfaction.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Oakland, CA, Denver, CO, or Toronto, CA, with a schedule of two days in the office each week for team collaboration.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategy & Roadmap: Prioritize features to reduce custom connector development time from hours to minutes and expand SDK capabilities.
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Partner with engineering, solutions, analytics, support, and marketing teams to develop and promote SDK features.
  • Developer Experience: Design intuitive interfaces, maintain synchronized documentation, and promote a smooth first-run experience.
  • AI-assisted Developer Workflow: Integrate LLM-powered tools to enhance coding efficiency and accuracy.
  • Quality & Compatibility: Develop upgrade and rollout strategies to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Metrics & Adoption: Monitor community engagement, usage, and revenue metrics, and iterate with Developer Relations.

Skills We’re Looking For

  • 4+ years of product management experience with developer-facing products
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and API integration
  • Knowledge of container orchestration, CI/CD, Terraform, Airflow, or Dagster
  • Experience with AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot or CodeWhisperer
  • Proven track record delivering measurable results for technical users
  • Deep customer empathy and problem articulation skills
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Bonus Skills

  • Experience managing open source projects
  • Familiarity with data-connector ecosystems
  • Experience scaling SDK adoption to 10k+ developers
  • Background in high-growth companies
