Rubicon Organics’ mission is to grow the best cannabis on earth and for the earth, out of our state-of-the-art greenhouse in Delta, B.C. We are scaling quickly to become a global organic cannabis brand.
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Processing, Extraction, and Packaging to lead our core post-harvest operations. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this leadership role oversees strategy, performance, and compliance of processing, extraction, and packaging teams. The focus is on product quality, operational efficiency, and regulatory and safety standards.
This role is ideal for a results-driven leader skilled in operational strategy, compliance, and team development, impacting our operational success by balancing daily performance with strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Provide strategic oversight, drive process improvements, monitor metrics, and stay current with industry trends.
- Process Optimization: Align initiatives with company goals, lead cross-functional collaboration, and foster continuous improvement.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with standards, lead audits, and maintain quality control protocols.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and develop teams, promote accountability, and support organizational growth.
- Regulatory Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance, monitor changes, lead safety initiatives, and maintain audit readiness.
- Resource and Inventory Management: Plan resources, forecast needs, manage inventory, and implement automation technologies.
Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years in leadership within manufacturing, processing, food, pharmaceuticals, or cannabis sectors.
- Expertise in process optimization, Lean, or Six Sigma.
- Experience leading multi-functional, regulated operations.
- Knowledge of quality assurance, compliance, and safety standards.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Post-secondary education in engineering, operations, or related fields; MBA is a plus.
