This is a temporary opportunity based out of the Toronto Office supporting ERP Project. Successfull candidate would be required to be in the Toronto office minimum once a month or as advised by the business.
Salary Grade: T08 From: $100,102.00
Job Summary:
Provides expertise as the Oracle Fusion ERP and EPM application Finance lead providing high levels of functional integration across the WSIB, leading project meetings, eliciting requirements, validating designs and testing, coordinating SME’s input where needed, and assisting in the implementation of the Oracle Fusion ERP solution to ensure its optimal performance and seamless integration with other software applications/tools. This includes managing and coordinating activities to ensure that the goals and objectives of the project are accomplished on schedule and within budget according to plan.
The ideal candidate will possess strong project delivery and management experience, understanding of the Oracle Fusion ERP and EPM applications, and proficiency in planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial and management reporting, data manipulation and analysis, finance business partnering and project accounting.
Major Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with business leads and partners to manage the end-to-end implementation of ERP
- Understands finance’s requirements regarding business processes, data definitions, functional requirements, and impacted business processes.
- Facilitate requirements elicitation in relation to chart of accounts design and assess impacts on the design of the chart of accounts on any budgeting/planning, forecasting and management reporting and analysis.
- Assist in bridging our business requirements so that the system integration team can build the financial reports including but not limited to balance sheet, cash flow statement, and P&L statement and salary planning.
- Lead the development of user acceptance testing scripts, testing activities, data validation and new report generation
- Validate the accuracy and completeness of system integrator work against the approved business requirements.
- Oversee changes, reconfigurations, and customizations within the ERP and EPM applications that impact planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and data analytics.
- Coordinate smooth integration of the ERP with other software solutions.
- Manage project activities throughout the project lifecycle by:
- Defining project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Developing full-scale project plans, project charters and associated communication documents to report project progress, providing frequent verbal and written progress reports on the status of projects providing action plans or recommendations on project deployment to project sponsors.
- Estimating the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Proactively managing changes in project scope as well as risk and issue management, identifying potential crises and devising contingency plans.
- Developing, maintaining and monitoring project budgets to ensure that there are no costs or resource over runs, as well as, tracking project milestones and deliverables ensuring project requirements are achieved in a timely fashion and within budgetary guidelines.
- Report on project milestones and risks/issues to Project Sponsors and consult with them on new initiatives that will impact strategic direction.
- Manage consultants and vendors regarding their commitments to the program/project by clearly articulating their roles and responsibilities. This includes monitoring and evaluating their performance on a regular basis and taking corrective actions such as development plans as appropriate if and when required.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to project team members and direct report assigned to the ERP Project. Monitor and control assignments of staff and carry out quality reviews of work efficiency based on project management plans.
Job Requirements:
- Education requirements:
Minimum Level Required
- Completion of Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Project Management Certification such as PMP or Prince 2
- Agile or SAFe methodology experience
Preferred Level
- Business Administration (MBA) or related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) – PMI Certification
- Agile PM Certification
- Program Management Professional (PgMP) PMI
- Master’s Certificate in Project Management
- CPA/CMA
- Experience:
Minimum Level Required
- 5 to 7 years of directly related experience managing complex projects in various industries and environments
- 3+ years of Oracle Fusion ERP and/or EPM implementation experience in team lead roles including modules such as:
- Fusion Financial Reports Center Cloud Service
- Project Financials Cloud Service
- Planning, includes Module-based applications (Workforce Planning, Capital Expenditure Planning, Financial Statement Planning and Project Financial Planning)
- Profitability and Cost Management
- Fusion ERP Analytics
- Fusion Transactional Business Intelligence Cloud Service
- Minimum 10 years in the following
- Financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, management reporting, and finance business partnering expertise.
Preferred Level
- 7 to 10 years of directly related experience managing complex transformational projects in government, health care, or insurance industry.
- 3+ years of Oracle Fusion ERP and/or EPM implementation experience in team lead roles including modules such as:
- Fusion Financial Reports Center Cloud Service
- Project Financials Cloud Service
- Planning, includes Module-based applications (Workforce Planning, Capital Expenditure Planning, Financial Statement Planning and Project Financial Planning)
- Profitability and Cost Management
- Fusion ERP Analytics
- Fusion Transactional Business Intelligence Cloud Service
- Minimum 10 years in the following
- Financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, management reporting, and finance business partnering expertise.
