Job Description
As a Senior API Engineer with strong Java experience, you will be a critical member of our engineering and architecture team. Your responsibilities include building, deploying, and maintaining RESTful APIs and ensuring their communication with downstream systems.
You will stay at the forefront of development and mentor a team of developers.
You will be part of the Org ID team, which connects financial institutions and clients (Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Corporations, and Correspondent Banks) by providing a managed service environment for Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements. This service offers a real-time “KYC passport” for clients, complying with strict anti-money laundering regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement database (SQL) and middle (Java) layer solutions.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, analysts, product specialists, and other engineers.
- Analyze system specifications and translate requirements for junior programmers if applicable.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and improve existing programs for performance issues.
- Conduct design reviews to ensure code quality, security, scalability, and maintainability.
- Review code and provide feedback to improve practices and performance.
- Assist testers and support staff in resolving system issues.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with object-oriented, TDD programming in Java.
- Experience designing microservices architecture.
- Experience building back-end RESTful web services with Java frameworks.
- Experience working with SQL databases.
- Experience with agile methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment strategies.
- Knowledge of web and application security, web services security, vulnerability remediation, and certificate management.
Additional Information
Strong background in automated testing is preferred.
