Title Senior Software Engineer (Enablement & Integration)
Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Enablement & Integration) for our client.
Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who thrives in a backend and platform-focused environment. You will contribute to shared tooling, infrastructure automation, and internal platform services that reduce developer effort and promote consistency. Rather than embedding deeply with other teams, your focus will be on designing solutions that enable delivery teams to work independently, through self-service, templates, and automation.
You will engage with developers, architects, and DevOps teams periodically and intentionally to understand pain points, demo capabilities, and ensure alignment without becoming a dependency or bottleneck in their delivery process.
Core Responsibilities:
– Design and maintain developer-centric tools and platform services that improve velocity, consistency, and quality across delivery teams
– Build and manage automated CI/CD pipeline templates, environments, and IaC patterns to reduce manual effort and eliminate repetitive tasks
– Develop or enhance shared SDKs and libraries that abstract platform complexity and allow teams to focus on business logic
– Create reference implementations, internal documentation, and self-service onboarding materials to reduce support burden
Enhance platform observability, diagnostics, and operational transparency for service owners, using automation wherever possible
– Standardize and streamline security, compliance, and quality controls across the SDLC through automation and integrations
– Collaborate with developers to understand friction points, and proactively design solutions that require minimal direct involvement from delivery teams
– Promote adoption through demos, enablement sessions, and lightweight integration guidance—not through enforcement or gatekeeping
Key Skills & Experience:
Category Requirements
Backend Development .NET Core and Node.js (TypeScript preferred)
Cloud & Platform Azure (App Services, Functions, Event Hub, Key Vault, SQL, Service Bus)
Containers Docker, Azure Container Instances or AKS
DevOps Azure DevOps, YAML pipelines, gated PRs, templates, artifact promotion
Infrastructure as Code Bicep, ARM, or Terraform
Testing & Quality TDD/BDD, unit/integration tests (e.g., Jest, XUnit), code analysis tools (e.g., SonarQube)
Authentication & Security OAuth2, OIDC, and secure service integration practices
Communication Able to explain technical designs to architects, product owners, and other developers
Team Contribution Mentorship, architecture input, platform enablement
Nice to Have:
– Experience with Helm and AKS-specific workload management
– Familiarity with Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory, or event sourcing patterns
– Experience enabling telemetry via OpenTelemetry, Grafana, or App Insights
– Background in working on cross-cutting platform teams or enablement initiatives
Soft Skills:
– Strong problem solver with a systems-thinking mindset
– Effective communicator across technical and non-technical audiences
– Thrives in collaborative, high-trust environments
– Able to work in ambiguity and influence without authority
– Passionate about developer productivity and platform scalability
