About the Role
Bree aims to build the best AI-native engineering team. Our ideal candidate has deep experience in modern mobile development, cross-platform architectures, especially React Native and Expo, and enjoys leveraging AI tools to ship high-quality apps efficiently and reliably.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement intuitive, high-performance mobile features using React Native and Expo to deliver seamless financial services experiences, managing complex states and offline capabilities.
- Architect cross-platform apps that integrate with backend APIs, optimizing for battery life, network efficiency, and real-time updates in a high-throughput FinTech environment.
- Use AI tools like Claude Code and Cursor to automate UI/UX prototyping, testing, and code generation, speeding up app development in a fast-growing startup.
- Ensure end-to-end app reliability, including CI/CD pipelines, crash reporting, and A/B testing, supporting millions of users on iOS and Android.
- Assist with app store submissions, performance tuning, and feature planning, ensuring rapid updates while maintaining security and compliance.
What You’ll Need
- Proven experience shipping consumer-facing mobile apps with React Native and Expo, scaling to large user bases.
- Expertise in mobile stacks including React Native, Expo Router, state management (e.g., Redux or MobX), native modules, TypeScript, and performance tools.
- Strong architectural skills to solve ambiguous mobile challenges like cross-device compatibility and accessibility in a fast-paced, growing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills for debugging complex mobile issues, with contributions to open-source or app refactoring experience.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, thriving in low-churn, innovative teams focused on quality and user-centric design.
