The Software Verification Team is seeking a Workstation and Tools Team Lead to oversee verification and validation activities for Kardium’s products. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with industry regulations and cybersecurity standards through rigorous testing and continuous improvement.
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement in Burnaby, BC.
Key Responsibilities
- Document and maintain requirements for Workstation and non-product software (e.g., Manufacturing Jigs, Test Tools, Dev Tools).
- Prioritize, schedule, and conduct verification activities in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Manage workstation configuration and releases.
- Plan and assess verification activities related to ECO, change control, and QMS for software releases.
- Support bug tracking and resolution according to development and testing plans.
- Lead performance testing, including cybersecurity verification if applicable.
- Generate and maintain verification documentation such as TPs, TRs, test plans, traceability matrices, and reports for regulatory submissions.
- Participate in design and requirement reviews to ensure verifiability and validation.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Mentor team members to foster growth and development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.
- Understanding of medical device systems and cybersecurity regulations (FDA, IEC 62443, ISO 14971, etc.).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Adaptability and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
- Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $116,000 – $146,000 CAD annually, including a 5% RRSP contribution. Employees are eligible for stock options, comprehensive medical and dental coverage from Day 1, flexible work hours, personal days, and support for well-being, career development, and family building.
