Skills and Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Planning: Evaluating current infrastructure, defining migration strategies (e.g., lift-and-shift, re-platforming, re-architecting), and creating detailed migration plans.
- Execution and Implementation: Leading and executing the migration process, ensuring data integrity and security throughout.
- Collaboration: Working closely with application owners, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful migration.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Addressing issues during and after migration, providing support and documentation.
- Cloud Optimization: Optimizing cloud resources and performance post-migration.
- Staying Updated: Keeping abreast of latest cloud technologies, best practices, and security measures.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Cloud Stack: Experience with Azure stack.
- Migration Tools: Experience with cloud migration tools and technologies.
- Data Management: Strong understanding of data migration strategies, ETL processes, and data security.
- Networking and Security: Familiarity with cloud networking, security best practices, and identity/access management.
- Scripting and Automation: Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform).
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Project Management: Experience managing projects with defined timelines and deliverables.
- Certifications: Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect.
